Is there a way that you could, for future versions, allow us to input custom CSS without having to edit stylesheet.css? I’d like to be able to take advantage of the automatic upgrade feature in WordPress instead of uploading all updated CF7 files minus stylesheet.css for each new version.

I installed contact form 7 and sent myself a bunch of test emails to make sure it works. When I click send, it shows the green box that says ‘mail successfully sent’. However, I haven’t received a single one of them (even checked the spam folder). When I checked the FAQ on the plugin homepage, I came across this –

I see a response message “Your message was sent successfully” with green border, but I never receive a mail for that.

Showing the green border message means that the PHP function for sending the mail has certainly completed successfully. So if you can’t receive the mail, it’s highly possible that the mail has been kidnapped or killed after that.

If you can check the log of your mail server, it could give you some clues. Spam filter often causes this kind of problem.

I use gmail apps for my domain email. Any idea what the problem is?

P.S. I thought there might be a conflict b/w this plugin and another one, but I have no other plugins related to email.

Hello, I recently upgraded to the newer edition to this plugin but when I tried testing it, the message I entered into the textarea through the form on the website did not show my message when I checked my email. Help needed

I’ve had the same problem as LMN – I’ve followed all the tips and tricks, pasted the tags in the Message Body, but when I get the email, it looks like this:

[text* your-name]

[email* your-email]

[text* your-website]

[textarea* textarea-388 id:5-10phrases]

[textarea* textarea-900 id:currentrankings]

[textarea* textarea-966 id:3maincompetitors]

[radio radio-54 “Yes” “No”]

[textarea textarea-387 id:socialmediaaccounts]

[radio radio-937 “Yes” “No” “Sort of…”]

[radio radio-676 id:SMO “Yes” “No”]

[select* menu-994 include_blank id:budget “$1,000-$2,000” “$2,001-$5,000” “$5,001-$10,000” “$10,001-$20,000” “$20,001+”]

I love your plugin and had it working perfectly a few days ago on my local WordPress install. I was getting the emails, getting the confirmation surrounded with the green box, it was perfect.

Now however, I’ve tried installing on my live site and I’m receiving the emails still and they’re great, but the confirmation message now isn’t appearing. Instead I’m now getting my 404 page. This is also happening on my local install now as well. Any ideas??

is there a way to bold the Submit button? Sorry if this is a very simple question, I did a lot of research but have been unable to get the right code :-( Probably something in the before the button or inside the “[”

Thank you.

Contact form 7 is great and really flexible, but one thing bothers me. Could you *please* add the option of “no formatting” to the additional settings.

We hacked through functions.php and set $br to 0 and removed the parts which insert , but it would be great to have this as a setting (for upgrades).

The problem is we use different style (fieldset and labels) and ‘s and ‘s mess up everything.

Thanks a lot for a great plugin!

I am using contact form 7 for my website. Recently I felt the need for phpbb and wordpress bridging. So I downloaded wp-united ( which is a phpbb mod.

The following error occurred on Step -3 of the wp-united installation:

Fatal error: Call to a member function add_shortcode() on a non-object in /home/caccin1/public_html/wp-content/plugins/contact-form-7/includes/shortcodes.php on line 127

Can you find a work around to this bug? I also found this link where someone else is having a similar problem.

we love your plugin and had it working
when i enable this plugin , the wordpress fatal error Allowed memory size will appear in many pages …

plz release a fixed version cuz I need this plugin so much …
